The cipher disk was an object used by Francis Drake to decode Enochian script, and it can only be used if the person has Francis Drake's ring. Nathan Drake suggests that it was created for Francis by John Dee.

The player uses the cipher disk by pressing Select when Nathan Drake needs to decipher something.
