Hotel Shangri-La is a location that features in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. It appears in Chapter 6 - Desperate Times.

Events in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.Edit

After fighting their way through the Nepalese city, Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer arrive at the hotel, which according to Chloe is the highest building for miles. The hotel is filled with guards however, and they do their fair share of fighting on their way up. When they take the elevator, it gets jammed and Chloe is trapped inside. Drake then must find the control room and turn the power back on. Once they reach the top they spot the temple they are looking for. They also spot a helicopter coming towards them. The helicopter attempts to kill them both as they find a way to get out of the hotel.

OverviewEdit

The hotel is extremely tall and joined to another building at least halfway up by a small bridge. There does not appear to be anyone staying in the hotel however, so it may have fallen into despair. The hotel contains an elevator and stairs and a swimming pool on the roof. The name of the hotel is seen on one of the walls.

TriviaEdit

• There is a hotel looking building in both multiplayer maps named the Plaza and the Highrise. The Plaza's one has sign reading Hotel Shangri-la while the Highrise is written in a foreign script. Although the Highrise's hotel includes the small bridge, neither are exact copies of the original.
• Shangri-La is another word for shambhala that Drake uses.
