Plunder is a selectable multiplayer playlist in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception . The main goal of a plunder match is to bring the treasure (a large idol) back to a treasure chest in your teams base. The game mode shares similarities with "Capture the Flag".

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Edit

Objective Edit

The treasure can be picked up by pressing when the player is beside it. It can be arc-thrown by holding L2 to aim, and releasing L2 to throw. While carrying the treasure, players can aim their pistol using L1 and can fire it with R1. The player moves much more slowly than they normally would when carrying the treasure, unless they have the Treasure Bearer booster selected. In a standard rules match, the first team to score five times in a match, or the team with the highest score when the time runs out, wins.

When Title Update 1.09 was released, all plunder related medals were increased in value and all kill-related ones were decreased. This was to get people to stop playing plunder in order to get easy kills and focus on the objective of getting the treasure to their base. The Captured medal, for example, was only worth $2,000 before 1.09, but was raised to $4,000.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Edit

The gamemode is also in Uncharted 3 multiplayer.

Except from the idol having a different look, the gamemode plays the same as it did in Uncharted 2.

Trivia Edit

• The Uncharted 2: Among Thieves treasure also appears at the end of the Nepal Warzone (Co-op Objective).
• The Idol in Uncharted 2 Among Thieves is a small version of the El Dorado statue from Drake's Fortune
