Tenzin's Name

What's with the guy who keeps adding to the Trivia section, claiming Tenzin was possibly named after the first Mount Everest explorer? No he WASN'T. Tenzin is a popular Tieban name.

It's a valid assumption that he has made. Tenzing Norgay was Tibetan, like Tenzin and was a mountaineer. The edit he has made was not harmful in any way and was put in the trivia section, where all such edits should go. The user claimed that "It is possible that Tenzin is named after Tenzing Norgay," and did not claim that he was named after him. As a result of him presenting a valid theory instead of wild speculation I have allowed this edit to remain on the page.--Klock101 16:36, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

The problem I have with it, is that it's simply not true. Check out this wikipedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tenzin) for Tenzin for example. It's just a common name over there. Claiming that it is not true is not evidence, and as for the Wikipedia list, the very last name on it is Tenzing Norgay. As common as the name Tenzin is, neither you or the user making the edit have solid evidence. However, the editor to the article is being ambiguous, giving a possible theory that can not be disproved unless Naughty Dog themselves say so. You however are imposing your view, claiming that Tenzin is a popular Tibetan name and that the editor can not possible be right. Again, you can not be proved right unless Naughty Dog say so. However, as this user has put forward a valid theory as to the origin of Tenzin's name the edit should remain, unless you can find evidence that he was not named after Tenzing Norgay.--Klock101 17:13, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Tenzin's Name Edit

Tenzin is simply a Tibetan name. You could pick any person with the same name and say they Tenzin was named after them, but it wouldn't make it verifiable. Unless Naughty Dog can confirm that Tenzin is in fact named after Tenzing Norgay, this is merely speculation and does not belong in the article.
