I'll bet Steven Spielburg's a great choice for directing Unchartered: Drake's Fortune. This is because he's one of the most famous directors in Hollywood and he has this ability to make the film a fun and awesome video game movie and to cast Nathan Fillion as Nathan Drake would just work perfect for that. I mean, if anyone could do better directing than Neil Burger, I think it's him.
Michael Bay, my ass. If that guy'll lay a finger on the film, we'll just get over-the-top action, a cast of stupidly sexy female characters, explosions, and a scene with the president.. (and maybe some Linkin Park)
I admit, he knows how to make a film alive, visually-wise, but he turns the story into a cliche.
That's a hard one. Steven Spielberg is a good director and probably would do a great Uncharted movie, but now that we know it's Seth Gordon directing it we can forget Spielberg unless Gordon abandons the project. I agree that Michael Bay should not direct it and another one that shouldn't direct it is M. Night Shayamalan. He would try to pull off some kind of stupid twist that would just ruin it. Plus we've seen what he does with good media when he turns it into a movie. I'm talking about Avatar: The Last Airbender.
overall yes I would love to see Spielberg direct it. Hopefully he wouldn't end up making it like Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull because that was just awful.
