Uncharted: Drake's Fortune treasures
Talk0this wiki
Treasures are collectibles in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Finding them will contribute to the 1000 medal points, but also unlock trophies and in-game rewards. They can be found in various nooks and crannies, some ranging from very obvious to locate, to some being very tricky to search for. Treasures are seen by Nathan Drake as periodically blinking lights, most commonly in corners.
There are precisely 61 treasures in the game, but only 60 are needed to acquire the last Treasure Hunter award. After a treasure is acquired, it can be viewed in the "Treasures" menu (When all 61 treasures have been collected, it will read: "Collected 61 of 60 Treasures"), and are selectable and rotatable by using the analog controls. Most treasures are Spanish, Incan, Mayan, or other indigenous Southern American tribe artifacts, with gold and silver variants.
Treasure Guide
Edit
A complete guide for those who wish to locate all needed treasures. This list was accumulated by Eugene Wong, "YYZ" of NeoGAF forums. Warning: This is only for the desperate; if you wish to find all the treasures on your own, do not read. Also, some parts are written in a first person fashion. These will be edited out later after publication.
Chapter I: Ambushed
Edit
No Treasures.
Chapter II: The Search for El Dorado
Edit
In the jungle prior to entering the temple:
I. Silver Mosaic Inca Earring
Edit
From the start of the chapter, follow the left side of the river bank until a fairly large rock is blocking your way. Climb this rock and jump down on the other side and the treasure should be at Nathan's feet.
II. Jeweled Silver Monkey
Edit
This monkey is in the area where you have to push the big rock to break the ground in order to enter the ruins. Make your way to the first stone that slips as you walk forward on it. Jump forward to the first pillar, turn left, and jump to the next pillar. The treasure is around the base of the tree. Just in case you're still confused, stand where you had to push the rock down and face the three pillars in the middle of the courtyard. The treasure is on the right pillar.
Inside the ruined temple:
III. Decorated Gold Ring
Edit
This treasure is where you have to shoot a barrel in order to topple a pillar. The treasure is on the lower side (opposite the barrel and pillar). Face the barrel and pillar and move left along the edge, to the side with the wooden scaffolding. The treasure is in the very corner, between the pillar and the edge of the gap. It may seem as if you will fall off, but it is safe.
IV. Silver Llama
Edit
This treasure is found after opening up the floor and filling up the water so that you can jump in and swim. After getting out of the water, hug the right wall and follow it into a nook where this treasure can be found.
V. Golden Inca Cup
Edit
You can find this one in the room immediately after the dramatic collapsing of the large wooden platform. After the cutscene, turn around so that you can see one of those ceramic jars that you can shoot and break. The treasure is behind this jar and on the body of a skeleton there.
After exiting the Ruined Temple:
VI. Silver Turtle
Edit
Immediately outside the temple ruins, there are four pillars. Climb up the shortest one and make your way across the next three. The treasure is on the last pillar.

Chapter III: A Surprising Find
Edit
Climbing up the cliff, after finding the Nazi Submarine:
VII. Gold Tairona Pendant
Edit
Midway through climbing up, you'll encounter your first yellow vine with red leaves on it (this is the third vine you encounter). Instead of swinging across with it, stop its swinging and climb up to the top where this treasure is waiting.
VIII. Gold and Turquoise Inca Earring
Edit
This treasure can be found at the very tip of the German U-boat BEFORE entering it. Run past the entrance and toward the very tip.

Chapter IV: Plane-wrecked
Edit
In the jungle:
IX. Silver Inca Figurine
Edit
At the start of this chapter, turn around and face the giant tree with Nate's parachute. The treasure is to the right of the base of the tree.
X. Silver Fish Charm
Edit
When you first encounter the small waterfall, turn left and head toward the nook in the rock wall. The treasure is behind the small tropical tree.
XI. Gold Frog
Edit
When you reach the first log crossing, drop down the ledge to the right of the log to find this frog.
XII. Intricate Gold Ring
Edit
After killing the numerous pirates in the large open area, climb up the pillars and follow the pillar to the end. Jump to the platform (there should be an exploding barrel here if you haven't shot it yet). The treasure is in the corner of this platform, near a small boulder.
XIII. Patterned Silver Ring
Edit
In the last section before you jump over the large gated wall, head left and to the corner where the top of the wall is partially blown out. Climb up onto the ledge here and grab this treasure.
XIV. Golden Jaguar
Edit
This treasure is in the next area (with pirates) after the previous treasure. After defeating the pirates, head left (opposite the next area with the large waterfall) and you'll see a huge white tree. The treasure is in the corner between the huge white tree and the small white trees.
XV. Silver Inca Vessel
Edit
This cool-looking treasure is in the little section right before you discover a section of Sullivan's crashed plane. In this area, you have to jump from a slanted narrow slab of rock to a slanted log. The treasure is fairly easy to spot: it is to the right and below the log, in the corner of the rock wall.
Following Sullivan's crashed plane site:
XVI. Golden Toothpick
Edit
This one can be found immediately outside the area where Sullivan's plane is crashed, before encountering the first wooden death trap.
XVII. Silver Bird Vessel
Edit
This treasure is very easy to miss. It is separated from the previous treasure by a platforming section. Once you finish the platforming section and before you move onto the next area (containing numerous wooden death traps), head to the right and to the cliff. Be very careful here because you will fall off if you move too far from the edge because there is nothing for you to hang onto here.
XVIII. Silver Inca Earring
Edit
After exiting the area with the wooden deathtraps, head forward, but make a U-turn to the grassy ledge overlooking the area with the wooden deathtraps. The treasure is lying in the grass here.

Chapter V: The Fortress
Edit
The Fortress itself:
XIX. Strange Relic
Edit
A Precursor Orb from the Jak and Daxter games! This treasure is special because it's not a part of the in-game treasures list proper although it does add one to the treasure count. The effect of this is that at the end of the game, you will have 61/60 treasures if you've found all of them.
This one can be found in the area where you first encounter pirates in this chapter. After defeating the pirates, go to the wall with the windows directly in front of the door you came in. Now go in between the windows and climb up the bricks until you get to the top, Go all the way to the right and jump to the roof. The "relic" is in the far right corner.
XX. Silver Jaguar
Edit
This cool cat is not too far from the Strange Relic. After getting the Strange Relic, run toward the large pile of rubble and stone as shown in the picture. Find your way over this pile of rock, and head toward the last watchtower (the structures that look out to the ocean). The treasure will be inside there.
XXI. Gold Mosaic Inca Earring
Edit
The location of this one is hard to describe because there are many ways to see it. This treasure is between a large pile of rubble and an arch-shaped iron gate. You can see where it is if you stand where the Strange Relic is (see pic for example). After getting the last treasure, head down to the section where this treasure is (the section before the machine gunner). You'll have to kill 2 pirates here. Climb over the pile of rubble shown in the pic and grab the earring.
Inside the waterway:
XXII. Golden Spoon
Edit
This one is very easy to miss. After killing the machine gunner, head up the waterway and go into the room to the right with the torches. There is one pirate here guarding the area. The spoon is behind the ammo boxes to the right of the table (see pic). Walk on top of the box in the corner and pick up the spoon.

Chapter VI: Unlocking the Past
Edit
Once outside the waterway:
XXIII. Silver Inca Mask
Edit
When you first enter this area there will be a fight with some pirates. After you defeat the pirates, head up the stairs and you'll see two very large trees with white bark. There is one large tree growing right by the stairs, and the other one is growing on the mossy green ledge. The treasure is behind the tree growing on the mossy green ledge.
Inside the Fortress walls:
XXIV. Spanish Silver Coin
Edit
You can grab this treasure after unlocking the door with the keys and fighting the swarms of pirates. Head up to the large gate at the far end of where the gunfight took place. Face the left side (the side with a giant white tree). There will be a small pile of rocks there. Climb up these rocks and hop over the ledge for the coin.
XXV. Silver Tairona Pendant
Edit
After going upstairs and defeating all the enemies, you'll have to go down a broken set of stairs from which you won't be able to climb back up. At the bottom of this set of stairs is a small room with some crates and ammo boxes. The treasure is to the right of the small set of stairs.
XXVI. Gold Llama
Edit
This next one can be found after defeating the small group of pirates on the walkway overlooking the courtyard. While making your way to your next destination, you'll have to do some platforming. The llama is behind the small green trees and the pile of rubble.

Chapter X: The Customs House
Edit
Inside the complex
XXX. Jeweled Golden Brooch
Edit
After sliding down the metal cable, go down to the corner looking at the door (the one you open to let Elena in) to find the brooch.
XXXI. Silver Belt Buckle
Edit
This treasure is after the cutscene where Nate and Elena are looking at the customs ledger. After killing the lone pirate with the shotgun, head all the way up the first set of stairs you see (you may want to take out the other pirates first) and the belt buckle will be lying in the corner.

Added by Al Pacconi
Chapter XI: Trapped
Edit
XXXII. Spanish Gold Coin
Edit
After the cutscene showing the boat leaving, you'll face some pirates in the next area. Head up the staircase that splits in two directions, and take the right path up to a small section of a broken floor where the treasure is.
XXXIII. Silver Spanish Chalice
Edit
After crossing the wooden bridge with the little cutscene, the first room with the staircase head down and take a left and a u turn at the knocked over column. The Silver Spanish Chalice will be in the corner next to the green tree.
XXXIV. Gold Coatimundi
Edit
This coatimundi can be found after leaving the customs house and heading through a tunnel, up some stairs, into a cavern of sorts. There are two enemies in the room. The treasure can be found behind a pile of ammo boxes directly across from the entry stairs and under the next set of stairs.

Added by Al Pacconi
Chapter XII: Heading Upriver
Edit
No Treasure.
Chapter XIII: Sanctuary?
Edit
XXXV. Golden Turtle
Edit
This one is quite easy to miss. You can get it in two ways: 1) After getting off the jetski, jump into the water and swim to the ledge behind the waterwheel and go behind the waterwheel. The treasure is on the small ledge against the broken bridge. 2) After defeating the pirates, jump from the bridge near where it's broken, to the ledge below.
XXXVI. Silver Inca Cup
Edit
After viewing the cutscene involving the deathtrap being made of the airplane parts, go under the dilapidated staircase to get this treasure. It is lying on some rocks in the water, directly underneath the staircase.
XXXVII. Jeweled Silver Cross
Edit
This one is found in a little room near where you shoot the large pile of exploding barrels.
XXXVIII. Silver Toothpick
Edit
This one can be found to the right of where you first enter this area. You'll likely need to kill all the enemies before being able to get it. Jump over the stone railing to get it.
XXXIX. Gold Spanish Chalice
Edit
Starting from where you first came into this area, go down the ramp and make a left past the large staircase, all the way to the wall, then turn left again to the corner where the rubble is.
XL. Silver Coatimundi
Edit
Another one of these...things. Head through the large tunnel to reach a small little area where this coatimundi can be found in the corner.
XLI. Golden Cup and Cover
Edit
This is in the room where you have to invert the torches to open the secret passageway. It is in the section of the room to the right of the main painting as shown in the pic.

Chapter XIV: Going Underground
Edit
XLII. Golden Inca Vessel
Edit
This cool little cup is found at the very beginning of the chapter. Head down the stairs and make a right immediately upon entering the room.
XLIII. Golden Skull
Edit
This kickass item can be found in the waterfall after the previous treasure. You'll have to pass the platforming section first before being able to reach the waterfall.
XLIV. Silver Snuff Box
Edit
Another cool treasure! This one is easy to get, you can grab it as soon as you emerge from the previous section through the trap door in the ground. It's in the corner behind the trap door.
XLV. Silver Spanish Goblet
Edit
After dropping down from the ladder, this fancy cup can be found behind a huge square-shaped sarcophagus.
XLVI. Silver Ingot
Edit
You can find this in the section after viewing the cutscene with the villains. Jump across the gap and drop down off the platform to the other side to get this slab of silver.
XLVII. Gold and Ruby Inca Mask
Edit
This is the one I missed in my original run even though it's not very hidden. This little trinket is at the very end of chapter XIV where you need to crank a chain wheel to open the wooden door to chapter XV. The room is extremely small so it's easy to find this treasure.

Chapter XV: On the Trail of the Treasure
Edit
XLVIII. Gold Inca Figurine
Edit
Find this funny-looking guy as soon you step outside and begin chapter XV. Head into the area to the right of the staircase you see in front of you.
XLIX. Golden Bird Vessel
Edit
Make your way to the secret gallery that Sullivan mentioned, but turn left before going there. Run down to the end of the broken floor to find this...cup?
L. Golden Spanish Goblet
Edit
It's easy enough to find this overpriced cup. Once you reenter the monastery and defeat the two guards, make a right into a small room containing this treasure.
LI. Jeweled Golden Cross
Edit
After pulling down the two keys and opening the stained glass, pick up this treasure in the secret room before leaving the monastery.
LII. Silver Skull
Edit
This treasure is behind a small stone burial house past across the large hole (from the movie 300?) from where you first entered this area. It is between the house and the wall.
LIII. Golden Inca Mask
Edit
This one can be found in a cluster of graves to the right of the building you're supposed to enter. It is partially hidden by a few tombstones.

Added by Al Pacconi
Chapter XVI: The Treasure Vault
Edit
LIV. Silver Cup and Cover
Edit
Ok so of course the treasures are opposite the way you're supposed to go (how clever). To get this first one, follow the right path from where you first entered the vault. Follow the arrows: V, then ignore II, then follow IV up the stairs, and then follow I to the end of the path.
LV. Jeweled Silver Brooch
Edit
This tricky treasure can be had When you reach the second swinging lantern (the one swinging in front of the IV sign). When you reach the top of the stairs before the lantern, stop and turn left to face the III sign on the pillar. Aim yourself diagonally so that you jumps just to the left of the pillar. The jump should be successful and you can claim your prize at the end of the drawbridge.
LVI. Gold Snuff Box
Edit
Wow, this one is extra tricky, I was actually a little stumped, but a gold snuff box is worth the trouble. To get this one, get to the area where there's a I and VII sign around the rusted iron gate. Go to the part of the railing beside the broken section and press forward+X to climb over and hang on it. Now jump backward to the platform where the snuff box is. If you don't want to die getting off the platform, then do a running jump onto the portruding block which is underneath the part of the railing you originally jumped from. See the pics for more details.

Chapter XVII: The Heart of the Vault
Edit
No Treasure.
Chapter XVIII: The Bunker
Edit
LVII. Gold Monkey Figurine
Edit
To get this wacky-looking treasure, go all the way down the hall where the first two mutants charge at you, then take a right all the way down the hall, then turn left and search the pile of rubble for this treasure.

Added by Al Pacconi
Chapter XIX: Unwelcome Guests
Edit
LVIII. Golden Seadragon Pendant
Edit
This badass treasure can be found in the area where you fight all the guards and the mutants at the same time around the large wooden boxes. Climb on top of the pile of five boxes against the back wall, then jump over to the nearest pile of two boxes, and then finally jump to another pile of two boxes against the back wall to claim this seadragon. A simpler way to do this is to climb up the side of the boxes that the treasure is on.

Chapter XX: Race to the Rescue
Edit
LVIX. Gold Ingot
Edit
As soon you climb up the ladder, turn around and search the plant between the large brown rock and the palm tree.

Edit
Another badass treasure. This one can be found in the catacombs, in the room with the two large sarcophagi. When you enter this room, the treasure is by the sarcophagus on the right side of the room.
LXI. Sapphire and Silver Mask
Edit
This bug-eyed treasure can be found in the room right after the previous treasure. Head down the stairs from the previous treasure room, and search behind the pillar in the middle of the room.
