Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is an upcoming single-player DLC for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. It stars both Chloe Frazer and Nadine Ross, and acts as a sequel. It is a standalone expansion.[1] The story takes place in India, where Chloe seeks the Tusk of Ganesha.

The DLC will be released on August 22, 2017.

The game is expected to take over ten hours to complete.[2]

Set after the events of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Chloe Frazer must enlist the aid of renowned mercenary Nadine Ross from Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in order to recover a fabled ancient Indian artifact and keep it out of the hands of a ruthless war profiteer Asav. Together, they’ll venture deep into the mountains of India in search of the legendary artifact. Along the way, they’ll learn to work together to unearth the mystery of the artifact, fight their way through fierce opposition, and prevent the region from falling into chaos.[3]

Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was announced on December 3, 2016 at the PlayStation Experience.

Since The Lost Legacy is set in India Naughty Dog said that they took inspiration from Hinduism and the mythology tied to the region when creating the story. Naughty Dog has also stated that the game will be have a different feel to previous Uncharted's game but will still fit within the context of the Uncharted franchise/Universe.

Naughty Dog has said that:

''We wanted this adventure to feature all of the hallmarks of the series, from cinematic storytelling set within exotic destinations, to dynamic combat and intricate puzzles. It’s our biggest story expansion to-date and will be available as a standalone game on store shelves and for digital download.''[4]

Kurt Margenau (Game Director for The Lost Legacy) said that:

''Fans can expect the same 'wide-linear' level design seen in Uncharted 4. In fact, The Lost Legacy is 'going even a little more wide' ''

Margenau has also mention that they will be a lot of driving scenes (Similar to the Madagascar chase from Uncharted 4).

Chloe is the primary protagonist in this game. She will feature her own fighting style, and won't be as "brawly" as Nathan Drake.[5]

Also, another change to gameplay is with the stealth combat. Chloe will be able to equipped silence weapons to take out her foes from afar.[6]
