Uncharted is an six issue comic miniseries which was published monthly by DC Comics from November 2011 to April 2012. A paperback book containing all six issues was released on July 17th 2012.[2] The comic features an original story written by Joshua Williamson.[3]

Creation

The comics tell an original story. The story was penned by Joshua Williamson, with Sergio Sandoval serving as penciller.
The story is designed not to tie in with any of the games directly, allowing people who have not played the games to enjoy the comics. Williamson has confirmed that he worked with Naughty Dog in the creation of the comics.
Plot

An official plot synopsis has been released by Williamson:
"A quest for the legendary Amber Room launches Nathan Drake on a journey to the center of the earth. As enemies from Sir Francis Drake’s past come for revenge on his descendant, Drake must use all the skills at his disposal to stay one step ahead of the game."[4]
In an interview, Williamson added further details, "Drake discovers that the legendary Amber Room was hidden by another great explorer, Sir Richard Byrd. The story is that many, many years ago, Byrd hid the Amber Room in the fabled Agartha in the Hollow Earth."

Flynn has been described as having "an important cameo" in the comic. It has been confirmed that Elena Fisher will not be making an appearance in the comic, the writer having stated in an interview with IGN that he wanted to use her character later.
